Outreach Programme

What We Do

The Outreach Team for St Helens Library Service aims to promote library services and engage with the community by raising awareness about the resources available, such as books, digital materials, and magazines accessible through BorrowBox.

The team will highlight programs like adult social groups to combat loneliness, and weekly Read & Rhyme sessions to promote early literacy and provide fun activities for families.

Additional community work will be beneficial for specialised services like the Home Delivery Library Service for residents with disabilities or medical conditions, as well as the Schools Library Service that helps schools enhance teaching and encourage young readers.

These initiatives are focused on making sure that all members of the community can benefit from important educational and social resources. By highlighting libraries as hubs for both socialising and continuing education, these outreach programmes not only increase the library’s impact but also improve community well-being by making library services accessible to all.
